コンピューテーショナル・バイオロジー国際学会主催のフォーラムがブラジルで開催される予定（2006年7月7日）

フォーラムのテーマは「バイオインフォマティクスの最近の進歩と普及」となっている。

Embrapa（ブラジル農業研究会社）のGoran Neshich、LNCC/MCT(ブラジル科学技術省傘下の国立サイエンティフィック・コンピュティ－ショナルス研究所)らが議長をつとめる。

同フォーラムは、分子生物学、医学、コンピュータ科学、数学および統計等の研究者が参加する。ISMBの範囲は、DNAシーケンシング、細胞、器官、機能等の生物学上の問題の解明にコンピュータの活用及び活用方法（アプリケーション）を包含している。
